This term our project has been to create a 'Minibeast World'. First, we each chose which minibeast we wanted to make. Then we had to wash our pebbles to make sure that they were clean. When they were dry we painted our pebbles the correct colours. Once the paint was dry, we were able to add the detail to our minibeasts using a black marker, googly eyes, and pipe cleaners. We made flowers by cutting out the petals and stems with our scissors carefully. We made additional minibeasts ourselves using recyclable materials during our independent time. We are so proud of our completed project! Please leave us a comment to tell us what you think.

We love putting our wellington boots and our mud suits on and going outside to experience the outdoor learning environment. We practise our gross motor skills by digging with large tools, riding bikes, and throwing, catching and kicking balls. We enjoy making mud pies in the mud kitchen, and finding minibeasts in the nature area.

We have got some new classroom pets.....five caterpillars! We have been enjoying watching them grow and change. We are waiting to see what will happen next! We needed to give our five caterpillars names so everybody thought of some ideas over lunchtime. We then wrote them down and picked five names out of the pot of our ideas. Our caterpillars are called Daisy, Joseph, Molo, Slick and Lavender.
